Lake Tekapo was absolutely amazing, the water was a really bright turquoise colour. The weather was so cold and windy as you can tell by Curt's face. There was a little chapel there, were alot of people from Japan come over and get married because its such a beautiful scenery. Lake Tekapo if a hydro generating lake which passes through 8 diffrerent power stations before passing to the sea. Canterbury University operates an astronomical observatory on top of Mt. John over looking Lake Tekapo. There are extremely clear skies and low levels of local light pollution there. This picture is from the drive to Cromwell, it wouldn't upload earlier.
